Travelling by Car

Fowler Street is located in the centre of South Shields and is easily accessible from surrounding areas, including Newcastle, Sunderland, Gateshead, Jarrow and North Shields.

Public car parks and on-street parking are available around South Shields town centre, with ample space behind the shop on Charlotte Terrace. Please check nearby signs for current charges and parking restrictions. Town Centre parking is currently free for the 1st hour and then 1p per minute. You must obtain a valid ticket for parking, even for the free hour,

Travelling by Metro

The nearest Metro station is South Shields, located within the South Shields Transport Interchange on Keppel Street. From the interchange, our shop is just a short walk away, making the Metro one of the easiest ways to visit us.

Direct Metro services run to South Shields from Newcastle city centre and connect with destinations throughout the Tyne and Wear Metro network.

Travelling by Bus

South Shields Transport Interchange is served by numerous local and regional bus routes. Once you arrive at the interchange, simply exit onto Fowler Street and walk towards the town hall.

Travelling by Ferry

The Shields Ferry connects North Shields and South Shields. From the South Shields ferry landing, Fowler Street and the town centre can be reached on foot or by a short local bus journey.

Please plan your journey in advance. Our shop is open 7 days a week.
Monday to Saturday - 10am to 6pm
Sundays - 10am to 4pm

Due to our recent appearance on Dragons' Den our shop has had an influx of customers flocking to see the most authentic sweet shops within the North East. Whilst we are working hard behind the counter to serve you your amazing sweets, please anticipate a slight delay in service during your visit.

Our Location

We are situated at the top of Fowler Street, right opposite the iconic Town Hall building.

As you approach the Town Hall, fowler street is located to the left of the traffic lights.

Ample car parking is available to the rear of our shop on Charlotte Street, with 1 Hours Free Parking (just remember to still enter your regestration details into the machines)
