John and Sean's Story
For John and Sean, Swainstons has always meant more than just sweets.
Bringing the name back was about creating something they could be proud of — something built with heart, personality and a real sense of tradition. They wanted Swainstons to feel like the kind of place people remembered from years gone by and full of those little moments that make you smile.
Sweets can remind you of a special moment within your childhood, they can also remind you of family members who also shared the same love for sweets as you do! A trip to your local sweet shop to spend all of your shillings of pennies, a real step back in time, and that's what makes sweets special. John and Sean wanted to recreate that magical feeling by bringing back an old tradition within a new world.
Reviving the Swainstons name became their way of doing exactly that.
It has taken long days, hard work and plenty of determination, but every step has been driven by the same belief — that Swainstons should be more than a shop. It should be a place with character, a place people remember and a name that means something again.
For John and Sean, seeing the Swainstons name above the door once more is incredibly special. It represents everything they have put into the journey so far, but it also represents what is still to come.
They are proud to be bringing an old name back to life, creating new memories around it and writing the next chapter of the Swainstons story — one sweet at a time.
